Another wish list from the library!
Save 20% on these Features

Dear friends of Gibson's,

Thanks to everyone who supported the library with a donation last week--and thanks to everyone who supports our "Shop Local" campaign.

The library will now be distributing wish lists not only to Amazon.com, but also to us and to Borders.  That's the way it should be. It's up to us to convince you to shop at Gibson's--as it always has been.

So now it's time for Round Two. If you would like to donate an item or two from the Library's new Fiction Wish List, please scroll down. I will be out of town for a few days at the New England Bookseller's Association conference in glamorous Hartford, so click here to send your request to John, who will get back to you confirming that your choice is still available, and to handle payment.

If you might like to donate an item or two from the Library's Wish List for Non-Fiction, click here.

The Library has provided book plates, so the book you donate will include a handsome confirmation that you donated it, just before the title page.

Remember, this is not a long-term solution. Eventually the economy will improve, and I hope you'll all join me then at City Council, testifying in favor of restoring the Library's book budget in full.

Again, thanks for your support. Let's keep our hard-earned dollars here in Concord, where they support the tax base, local employment, and local philanthropy.

Best regards,

Michael Herrmann and your friends at Gibson's
